Hi Friends ! First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who has contributed so far. You generosity to this great cause has truly been humbling and motivating !! Training is going well and this week will be striving to get a 45 - 50 mile ride in. It's during those long, quiet rides that I think about your kindness, support, and generosity in supporting Dana Farber. It's during those rides that I realize how fortunate I am to Get To ride in the PMC and raise funds for so many who may not Get To. I have made the commitment to ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge 2024 ( my 2nd) with a goal to raise $15,000 in order to contribute to finding a cure for this dreaded disease called cancer. The reasons for this commitment are very simple: 1. Cancer impacts almost everyone at some point of their lives. My Dad, Grandmother, Grandfather, Aunt, and Uncle were all taken from us far too soon by cancer. By riding in the Pan Mass Challenge and raising money for a cure, my hope is that someone else may not have to be affected in this way. 2. EVERY SINGLE DONATION GOES DIRECTLY TO THE DANA-FARBER INSTITUTE ! No amount of $$$'s are used for anything other than finding a cure! This 160 mile 2-day ride will be challenging for me but it pales in comparison to those who are battling cancer and the sacrifices their loved ones are making.
