I’m once again riding 160 miles in the Pan-Mass Challenge to raise money in the fight against cancer.
This cause is deeply personal. We lost Joey and Maddie’s mom, Wendy Kelley, after her long battle with leukemia. My godmother, Mary Lou Morris, also passed away from cancer several years ago. My wife’s sister, Sharon Mercer-Juergensen, was taken by brain cancer last year. And now, a dear friend and HubSpot alum, Julie Hogan, just found out that her breast cancer has returned, this time as an aggressive form of stage 4 brain cancer.
Cancer has touched too many people I love. And I know I’m not alone in that.
The ride is tough, but it’s nothing compared to the pain patients and families endure every day. Riding is the least I can do to honor them and help push toward a future with fewer losses and more hope.
We are incredibly fortunate to have institutions like Dana-Farber Cancer Institute leading the charge in patient care and groundbreaking research. The Pan-Mass Challenge has already raised over a $1 billion—100% of which goes directly to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund and this year, we’ll cross a new milestone of annual funds raised.
If you or someone you love has been impacted by cancer, I’d be honored if you would consider supporting my ride. Every dollar brings us closer to a cure and together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for your support.
