Dear Friends and Family,
After finishing my 15th PMC ride last year, I had declared it would be my last and I was going to continue on with the PMC and volunteer with my daughter. However cancer has touched the life of someone very dear to me, one of my closest college friends – Carrie Regan.
She was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer called gliobastoma. This disease strikes without warning, affecting individuals and families in profound ways. Its rapid growth and location in the brain make treatment incredibly challenging. To learn about this diagnosis was a gut punch for us all who know and love Carrie. She is not just battling cancer; she is facing it with unimaginable courage and strength. Witnessing her journey has been both heartbreaking and inspiring. It's taught me that the fight against cancer is not just about medical treatments; it's about rallying together as a community to provide unwavering support. And the community that has rallied to support her and her family is a testament to the amazing person she is. She is a fighter, and is fighting with such grace and positivity! And so, I have decided to ride again this year to raise money specifically for glioblastoma. Each rider can designate their fundrasing to a specific area of research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This year my husband Jay and I will be riding to raise money for gliobalstoma.
As Carrie navigates through this challenging chapter of her life, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact of organizations like the PMC. These organizations provide vital resources, emotional support, and fund groundbreaking research that brings us closer to a cure. Today, I ask for your support. Your donation to the PMC will not only aid in Carrie's battle but will also contribute to the greater fight against cancer. Every dollar brings us closer to better treatments, improved quality of life for patients, and ultimately, finding a cure.
We know there are many organizations out there to support and we truly appreciate that you choose to help us in our fight against cancer.
Cancer still persisits, but with Dana Farber, we are fighting the good fight! We WILL kick cancer's ass! I am honored and blessed to be able to still get on my bike to train and ride the PMC. 100% of every dollar we raise goes right to reasearch, hiring the best doctors, and of course supporting the cancer patients and their families. Every dolloar helps and no amount is too small. My hope is that you can help support my cancer ride and make a donation. The people affected by cancer, and their families.....and Carrie.....thank you.
