This will be my 4th PMC from Sturbridge to Provincetown. The ride is my favorite weekend of the year and a great reminder of how good people ARE.
Like you, I have had family members and friends that have had to hear the the diagnosis, You have cancer. This is an unfortunate fact that often keeps me up at night. Often this is what I think about as I ride, how we hear it, what thoughts it provokes how our families shift and try to adjust to this life changing news. On PMC weekend there are thousands of supporters and riders honoring their loved ones all riding for one mission, so that some day, people stop hearing,You have cancer. Reflecting while riding and seeing the massive outpouring of support was quite overwhelming until occured it occured to me, this CAN make a difference. This many people raising money and riding in honor of those who have been diagnosed, fought, survived and died, can make a difference, can move the needle closer to a cure for this disease that affects everyone.
This ride and this cause are about supporting everyone affected by cancer on the toughest road of their life.
I ask you not just to show your support me as I ride another 186 miles from Sturbridge to Bourne but to support the countless families now and in the future who are affected by Cancer.
For my past donors, I can’t say thank you enough. For the newcomers to the list, please consider making a donation to this wonderful cause. All donations are tax-deductible and, unlike many charitable organizations, EVERY DOLLAR of your donation goes to Dana Farber, as the operating costs are covered by a multitude of corporate sponsors. If you are able to make a contribution you can do so online at the PMC site https://donate.pmc.org/DL0322. If you would prefer to mail a check it can be made out to PMC and mailed to me at 1550 Patrill Hollow Road, Hardwick, MA 01082.
Thank you so much for you consideration and your donation, there's a lot riding on this.
