I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer through the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I ride to help us get our best chance of irradicating cancer. I ride for my friends and family.
In honor of Jenny
I'm riding in honor of Jenny. Jenny is the beloved wife of my friend and colleague. She has been facing a rare and aggressive form of cancer with unyielding strength. Her battle has been marked by countless rounds of chemotherapy and other treatments. She is an amazing mom of two great kids, and we all hope she will be able to celebrate her daughter’s college graduation.
I am driven to do my part in the fight against cancer in honor of Jenny and her family. I am inspired by the strength and courage of Jenny's husband. He stands by her side, providing unwavering love and support. His dedication inspires me to make a difference.
In honor of George
I'm riding for my good friend George, who had Multiple Myeloma, was in remission for 10 years, and it came back 2 years ago. Thankfully, through chemo treatment, he's in remission again this year!
In honor of Katie
My teammate Katie is Living Proof! Earlier this year whe was diagnosed with cancer through a routine check up. Working with Dana-Farber, she was able to have her cancer removed and is cancer free!
In memory of Lynda
My good friend Erik's mom, Lynda, was a courageous soul who faced a grade 2 astrocytoma, a type of brain cancer. Diagnosed in January 2015, she was told she had about two years left to live. Despite the challenges, she remained active, enjoying her passions for hiking, biking, kayaking, and nurturing beautiful gardens.
After a biopsy surgery and treatments at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Lynda decided to forego brain radiation. As the tumor impacted her brain's location, her personality underwent significant changes, presenting additional difficulties for her and her loved ones. In September 2021, she celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary with her family before her health began to decline.
Lynda's battle ended on January 19, 2022, one month shy of her 70th birthday. She will be remembered for her kindness, sweetness, and her gift of gardening. Her story serves as a poignant reminder that cancer affects everyone, and we must find a cure to protect the remarkable people around us.
I ride...
for there are those who can't. I ride for those above and countless others. I ride because I want my children and my grandchildren to grow up with cancer being a joke, under control, or even gone completely.
Every. Single. Dollar. 100% of the money I raise goes directly to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
