I ride for my fierce wife. Last June we learned the heavy news that no person with a cancer history wants to hear. Laura's breast cancer had metastasized. We were back to Dana Farber for chemotherapy and indefinite targeted treatments.  My wife is handling her recurrence with a remarkable level of grace and positivity. She chooses to focus on what cancer has given her versus what it has taken. It is unbelievable to me that Laura has stage IV cancer. She is her usual high energy self and has pivoted to our new reality without missing a beat.  All of this is possible because of Dana Farber.  I, along with Laura's father and close family friends, will ride again this year to ensure that Dana-Farber continues to lead the world in cancer research, as they put that research to work to treat my wife. This couldn't be more tangible for our family.  Laura is one of the first patients with HER-2 positive cancer to have access to the medication, Ibrance.  This medication will help with Laura's longevity, and is a direct result of the dollars that have been donated to Dana-Farber.
