On August 2nd, I’ll be clipping in to ride in my 20th consecutive Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC)—a two-day, 192-mile bike ride that brings together thousands of cyclists with one shared goal: to fund groundbreaking cancer research and care for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The Pan-Mass Challenge is Dana-Farber’s largest single source of funding, generating 66% of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. In 2024, riders achieved a record-breaking fundraising year, pushing the PMC’s lifetime total past $1 billion since its founding in 1980 — making it the most successful athletic fundraiser in the U.S.

Every dollar raised goes directly to Dana-Farber through the Jimmy Fund, supporting research and care across all types of cancer. These funds help drive new discoveries, improve treatments, and ultimately, save lives.

This ride is deeply personal for me. Over the years, my family has been involved in different ways, and I’m proud to be riding alongside my son Jack for the 2025 PMC. We ride in memory of my mother-in-law, Annmary, who we lost to cancer on August 26, 2014, to honor those who we’ve lost, and support those fighting, with hope for better outcomes and lives saved through continued research.
