Lives continue to be disrupted and taken by cancer all too often and too soon. So we must continue to do our part to help ensure that the lives of future generations are not.
I am immensely grateful to all of you who supported me and the other riders of the PMC last year. Your contributions provided crucial financial support that was directly invested in cancer research. Your generosity opened the opportunity for us to witness the magnitude of how important the Pan Mass Challenge is for the betterment of humankind.
For those who may not be familiar, the PMC is always held the first weekend in August and raises funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. Each summer, thousands of riders and volunteers from 43 states and 12 countries participate in the PMC, all with a common goal: to find a cure for cancer.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our community, the 2022 Pan-Mass Challenge raised an astounding $69 million, marking the single largest donation in the history of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Being a part of something so much larger than the event itself was a true honor and humbling experience. From the donors to the riders, support volunteers, and the spectators along the route, all of us came together with the belief that we can and will find a way to make a difference.
