Hello PMC Sponsors,

I am behind with putting up this annual solicitation and even further behind with my training, but I am riding the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge on August 5th and 6th.

This will be my 13th PMC and preparing for it, including soliciting you all, involves reflecting on my late wife Diane’s ovarian cancer diagnosis shortly after my 3rd PMC in 2016 and our journey from there to her death shortly after my 7th PMC in 2010.

Among the things that follow from this reflection is a renewed commitment to continue the work Diane started with the request in her obituary that gifts in her memory go to her oncologist at Dana-Farber, Dr. Ursula Matulonis. Diane’s request launched Diane’s Fund, which – thanks to you all and many others – has provided Dana-Faber with over $540,000 to advance the detection and treatment of ovarian cancer.
