Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

This year marks my 24th annual Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) bike ride, and once again, I’m pedaling with purpose—to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and bring hope to those fighting cancer. I will be riding the Wellesley to Bourne route on August 2nd – 85 miles. I'm wondering how this 70-year-old body will feel when I’m done!

But this ride is not about me. It’s about the funding that is so desperately needed to support the cancer research and treatment done at Dana-Farber. My journey has become even more personal, as my husband, Paul, is currently in a two-year clinical trial at Dana-Farber for metastatic prostate cancer. His fight—his strength—reminds me why this ride matters so much.

Our team, Team Hope, rides for so many, including our six-year-old pedal partner, Roman. Diagnosed a year ago, Roman is undergoing treatment at the Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana-Farber. His strength and spirit inspire us to push forward, knowing that every mile we ride and every dollar we raise helps fuel the fight for Roman and so many others like him, including Josh, Eva, Ray, Bonnie, David, Joey and Paul. They are the true embodiment of resilience, and we ride in their honor and all who have received a cancer diagnosis.

This journey is powered by an incredible community of people who are nothing short of superheroes:

• The doctors and researchers at Dana-Farber, who work tirelessly to advance treatments and search for cures, armed with knowledge and innovation. Their work is fueling Paul’s and Roman’s fight and the battle of countless others.

• The cancer patients and survivors, whose courage and resilience rival any superhero’s strength, showing us what true bravery looks like, facing each day with determination and hope.

• The PMC riders and volunteers, everyday heroes who push themselves beyond limits, proving that determination and compassion can move mountains—and miles! My own Team Hope is a perfect example – small but mighty!

• The financial supporters like yourselves, who last year contributed an incredible $75 million to Dana Farber through the PMC. Every dollar of this amount went to support this worthy mission. The cumulative total donated since 1980: $1,047,000,000!!!

This ride is more than a test of endurance; it’s a testament to the power of hope, unity, and unwavering support. Every pedal stroke, every mile, and every donation bring us closer to breakthroughs that can save lives.
