For the 5th year, I have decided to ride and raise money for Cancer research as part of the 2025 Pan-Mass Challenge. I will be riding in both my father's memory & my sister's honor.

The PMC has been a family event for over 10 years and will continue that way for at least one more year as I have decided to ride 192 miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. DFCI is the reason my sister is in remission from an aggressive form of Ovarian Cancer, and the reason so many cutting edge treatments continue to be available to new patients every year. Sadly, 2 weeks after waving us on to start the 2019 ride, my father passed away, succumbing to his own fight with Bladder Cancer. Gregor always took a huge pride in riding & fundraising for the PMC, even raising over $5,000 from the sidelines his last year. I look forward buckling up in his memory, for my Sister and for too many more the first weekend in August.

The last time I committed to riding, remission remained a dream and yet thanks to Dana Farber and her own force of will, Jen is very much living that dream. Over the years, Jen was lucky enough to be part of several experimental treatments as DFCI has worked towards FDA approval. These treatments are now available to the public throughout the country, helping to improve and save the lives of so many people. It is a testament and direct result of the money raised for Dana Farber by the PMC that the research and experimental treatments continue to advance the fight against cancer.

On August 2nd, our small team will join thousands of cyclists in the PMC ride to raise money for research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. My personal fundraising goal this year is $6,000, as I look to continue to do my part in the battle against Cancer. Any donation, no matter how small or large, truly means the world to me and my family.

The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, since 1980, the PMC has donated $1.047 billion to Dana-Farber’s fight against cancer.

The PMC is Dana-Farber’s largest single contributor, accounting for 66 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. The Jimmy Fund is comprised of community-based fundraising events and other programs that solely and directly benefit Dana-Farber.

For the 18th consecutive year, 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly supports lifesaving cancer research, treatment, and care at Dana-Farber. The PMC’s philanthropic support has enabled Dana-Farber to make a substantive contribution to more than half of FDA-approved cancer drugs in the United States from 2018 to 2022, grow its clinical trials program into one of the nation’s largest, and build new world-class patient care facilities, significantly expanding the reach of the Institute.
