Hey everyone! It's that time of year again, PMC time! I'm 15 and this will be my thrid year riding now, but the first time ever riding with the official start and routes. PMC has always been a huge part of my family, I've been riding the kids PMC since I could ride a bike, and cheering my parents and family on at the PMC since I was a little kid. I was 10 when I decided I wanted to do the PMC with my parents. I think 10 year old me would be proud that this is my third year.
One of the most important reasons I ride is for my mom, we're a dynamic duo for the history books. She's always motiviated me and because of her I know I can do anything I want as long as I work hard enough for it. She got breast cancer a little over 3 years ago. She's out of radiation now and doing pretty great and I'm so thankful for that. I ride for my mom, other moms who weren't as lucky as my mom, and for daughters who lost their partner in crime. There are so many reasons to ride but I ride so no member of a dynamic duo has to be solo.
I also ride in memory and honor of many people I know and love, Grandpa, Tracy, Diane, and so many more.
I just want to thank all the people who have gotten me here, especially all my family and friends who have ridden with me, seen me improve and then watch me fall off while trying the clip in pedals for the first time. Let's kick cancer's butt.
