***Mileage update: 192+ as of 1 August = DONE***
Last year I proudly volunteered in the Pan-Mass Challenge because it is leading a charge to beat cancer by funding life-saving research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This year, I will be supporting the PMC as a virtual rider and will be riding the 192 miles on my Peloton!
My first experience with cancer was when I was 9 years old. I watched my grandmother be diagnosed, fight, and ultimately succumb in less than 6 months. It was a completely devastating experience for me and my entire family. I want to do anything in my power to prevent this heartbreak for others, of all ages.
If you are able, please help us fund the cures for cancer. The PMC is committed to this mission and 100 percent of funds raised by PMC participants go directly to Dana-Farber.
I ride in memory of: Angelina Nama DePalo (pictured above), Lauri Bortolotti, Barbara Bortolotti, Fred Bortolotti, Pantaleo DePalo, Tripp Cooper, Nathanael Esquilin, and Daniel Schrampfer
I ride in honor of: Johanna Simisky, Nancy Pickard, Dave Malkowski, Melissa Malkowski, and Deb Melander
