Why I Ride ...
I ride because I am a cancer survivor. I ride because, thank God, I am ABLE!!! This is my 10th year riding and not-coincidentally my 10th year N.E.D.
I ride in memory of my step-father Dr. Michael Aaron Sievers who lost the battle against pancreatic cancer.
I ride in the name of friends and family and their friends and family who have too-well known cancer.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading the charge to beat cancer. This 200 mile ride is our nation's single, highest grossing athletic, cancer-related fundraising event. Last year's event generated over $70 million dollars in funding, 100% of which went DIRECTLY to the Jimmy Fund & Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
I ride for Team BrentWheels which designates 100% of dollars raised toward Neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer. Fact: 95% of charitable and non-charitable funding in the U.S. benefits the most common cancers like lung and breast, leaving causes like Neuroblastoma severely underfunded. We ride with Team BrentWheels to change this fact.
Together we WILL make a difference!
