Thank you so much in advance for supporting this amazing charity and good luck! Please read below to learn more about the PMC and why I’m riding.
In 1997 my father, Ernest Pallotta, founder of Ernie’s Auto Wash died of colon cancer when only 52 years old. His brother (my uncle) also suffered from colon cancer. I'm 45 now and sometimes I get so frightened about the prospect of not being alive in seven years that it's almost paralyzing. If there’s anything I can do to not only honor my father and uncle, but also empower me just a little against this killer, I've decided it's time to start doing it.
I haven't cycled in any serious way in over 20 years, but last fall, thanks to some good friends, I rediscovered my love for the sport. I've chosen a tough two-day route, but I've been training hard, and look forward to a fun and rewarding ride. The ride begins Saturday, August 4 when I will cycle 110 miles from Sturbridge to Bourne. The next day, I will cycle 81 miles from Bourne to Provincetown.
Please help with a contribution, no matter how small, to support not only me, but the incredible PMC organization. 100% of your contribution will directly go toward the Jimmy Fund for cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Faber Cancer Institute. This ride raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country!
