Once again it is Pan Mass Challenge season with this year’s ride on August 3rd and 4th. Approx. 190 miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown, MA is the route as part of Team CRUS11TOUR. Our team will be 120+ riders strong and last year raised over $1.2 mm. It is important to note that the PMC will cross the $1 Billion fundraising mark in 2024 and participation is expected to be very high in recognition of this milestone. Consequently, Be One In A Billion! Team CRUS11TOUR will once again fundraise and ride in support of brain cancer research and care. The CRUS11TOUR mission statement is attached and worth the read.
An important backstory, and a driving force in my participation, is my dedication to our great family friend Paul Simeon, who I made mention of last year. Paul just passed the two-year mark battling pancreatic cancer and is truly a walking (and riding) miracle. 30+ rounds of chemotherapy and is fighting it like no one else could. Paul did the entire ride last year but with doctor’s orders keeping him on the sidelines this year. Nevertheless, his strength, courage and perseverance is something to marvel. A couple of pics from last year below. Quite the emotional affair. Unfortunately, Carolyn and I have other friends who have been diagnosed with cancer as well over the past year making this cause as meaningful as ever to us.
A quick shout out to my awesome daughter Natalie who will be running her 2nd NYC marathon in November on behalf of the American Cancer Society. Incredibly proud that she is doing what she can in the effort to beat this disease.
Thank you very much for your support and best regards.
