Greetings from New York. This year will mark my 24th year riding in the PMC and the 25th since our first PMC and our Mom passed away. Through your generosity, I have been able to raise over $95,000 and my goal for this year is to raise an additional $5,000. It is a large goal, but a worthwhile one, because the money raised allowed my Mom to spend ten years living with Cancer.
In January of 2017, I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and thanks to the work that has been done in the past and the technology that exists today, I was able to have it surgically removed. For someone who has never smoked, the lung cancer diagnosis was a bit of shock, but I have come to learn that 20% of new lung cancer diagnoses are in those who have not smoked.
I truly believe that one of these dollars raised is the dollar used to find the Cure for all cancers. We are getting so close, we just need to continue funding the research. It is out there and we will find it.
