During the first weekend of August, I will saddle up for the two-day, 192 mile Pan Mass Challenge.
I do this ride for my loved ones, for your loved ones...for everybody that has been impacted by cancer.
Working as a nurse, I bare witness (seemingly all too frequently) to patient's being diagnosed with cancer and it is understandably devastating.
Truthfully, for a majority of the time, I feel pretty powerless and can only offer compassion and empathic listening. But, at least for this one weekend in August, I can actually do something to help the fight against these cancer diagnoses and that is bike the 192 miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown.
I get it. Asking for a donation is a lot to ask given the current economic climate that we all face. However, a heartening thought is that even the smallest donation will go directly to a host of radiologists, oncologists and surgeons who aim to provide optimal theraputics and enhanced treatment options to patients in search of life saving and cutting edge care.
Please consider donating to my ride. Together we can fight and ultimatley win the battle against cancer.
Warmly,
Courtney
