I wanted to take a moment to share something close to my heart—why I’m riding in this year’s PMC.

Cancer has touched my life in ways I never could have imagined. I’m riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge to honor the incredible strength and courage of my family and to help create a future where fewer families have to face this pain.

I lost my mom to cancer, a loss that changed my life forever. Not long after, we discovered that the CDH1 genetic cancer gene runs through my family—a cruel reality that no one should have to face. I’ve watched my aunts, uncles, and cousins fight this battle with unimaginable strength, resilience, and hope. Their courage inspires me every day.

Right now, Kathy Rowe, my sister-in-law’s mom, is courageously battling cancer, showing the same unwavering strength and resilience that keeps me pushing forward. Her fight is a powerful reminder of why this cause is so important.

We also recently lost our dear friend Wendy Postlethwaite—a true warrior whose incredible spirit, boundless love, and unforgettable smile touched everyone who knew her. Wendy’s loss is deeply felt, but her legacy of love and courage lives on.

I’ll be riding 186 miles with Team Wendy's Warriors for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute this August. Every mile is for my mom, for Kathy, for Wendy, for my family, and for everyone still fighting. This ride is my way of honoring their legacies and giving hope to others who need it most.
