This will be my 14th PMC ride. I ride and fund-raise because I can. Thanks to everyone who has supported my efforts over these years.
I ride for many friends and families impacted by cancer. Unfortunately the list keeps getting longer. Bob Power’s seven year old grandson, Dash, was diagnosed with cancer (which I am thankful to report he overcame). Meanwhile his Aunt Erika still awaits a liver transplant. As Dash said, Cancer is an idiot. It shouldn't deserve to exist.
I still train primarily on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. I added more strength and flexilbity training during the off season at Lifetime Fitness, a big supporter of the PMC.
Over the past 39 years, PMC cyclists have ridden to raise and contribute over $660 million to cancer research. This year’s goal is $60 million. Dana-Farber continues to make significant headway in offering new treatment options and ongoing cancer research; donating to the PMC/Jimmy Fund is one of the best ways to support these efforts.
I appreciate anything you can contribute to this worthwhile cause. Donate online by clicking on one of the Donate links on this page or email, or by mailing a check made out to 'PMC - Jimmy Fund' to me: Cheryl Gorman, 47 Village Avenue, # 212, Dedham, MA 02026.
