However long I am able to do this ride, I will think of my father who lost his battle against cancer, and my sister who won and is stronger than ever. I will ride for friends who are fighting now, knowing that every single dollar raised through the PMC will support the ground-breaking research that happens every day at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I will ride with the hope that someday, in the not too distant future, it will no longer be necessary to raise money for this research, because cures will have been found for all cancers—and the ultimate battle will have been won.
