This year will be my second bike ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). This 190 mile Bike-o-thon will be tough but knowing what you’re riding for helps you focus & finish strong. I am riding for family, friends & coworkers who have been diagnosed with Cancer...only a few were cancer survivors. It is the most devastating unfair disease that spares nobody. Approximately 38.4% of Men & Woman will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime.
My Team & I are excited to be riding again this year. A lot of the same faces and some new to the team. Our team, Team Boston Fire are riding 25 strong this year. We all have the same goal..raise money to find a cure to stop this disease.
By participating in the PMC, I know we are making a difference in the fight against cancer. In 2016, an estimated 15.5 million people were cancer survivors. In 2026, that number is expected to rise to 20.3 million.
The Pan-Mass Challenge is the #1 athletic fundraising event in the world. Contributing well over $600 million since it oringated in 1980. All raised donations go directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I am very eager to start this process & begin my training. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your support & donations. With your help, we can make a difference!
