Why I Ride ...
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. This year has been really tough on our family since Jarred has been diagnosed with T cell, acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Jarred's last date of treatment is November 30, 2023.. which means we have a long way to go.. I'm going to use this challenge to help focus my energy. I'm doing something positive to help find a cure for cancer.
I decided to ride in the pan mass challenge as part of team Duncan.
Duncan was a strong and passionate advocate of breast cancer awareness and research who began Project Pink at her former company OOFOS, a recovery footwear company. OOFOS has donated $2M to Dana Farber Cancer Institute from the Project Pink donationsand continues to donate 2% online sales to the Dana Farber. OOFOS is now the official recovery footwear of the Pan Mass Challenge and there are 8 OOFOS riders on Team Duncan. For more on Duncan’s story check out www.OOFOS.com.
Team Duncan consists of 74 riders including Duncan’s husband, four sons, their fiancée, girlfriends, her sisters, brother, niece and many friends and former colleagues of Duncan. Our team has raised $8.88M over the past 22 years and our 2022 fundraising goal is $600,000.
