Hi Guys,

This will be my first year riding the PMC but definitely not my last. This year my girlfriend Jenn and I will be riding in honor of her late aunt, her grandfather Roy who is fighting against prostate cancer right now, my step mother Jean Marie who is battling breast cancer and my father, Scott, who beat melanoma and lymphonia.

Jenn and I will be riding side by side with two of our incredible friends, John & Jimmy, who are both living proof riders. John has been an amazing friend to me since I met him 4 years ago when Jenn and I started dating. At the age of 30 he found himself fighting a form of cancer that only 12 other people in the world have been diagnosed with. This rare cancer is unfortunately resistant to traditional chemotherapy and radiation. Thankfully, he has been battling with the help of an FDA approved “targeted drug therapy” called Gleevec - but there is currently no cure. Jimmy is one of my best friend from college who in 2019, at the age of 29 couragously fought and beat testicular cancer.

As a member of Buchta's Brigade, our team will train througought the hot summer months to bike 200+ miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown over the course of two days. We ride to raise money for an institution that is working towards providing cancer patients the opportunity to realize that cancer does not define them. We honor the lives we've lost and fight to support the extaordinary examples of living proof we are lucky enough to still have with us like Roy, Scott, John and Jimmy.
