5 INCREDIBLE FACTS ABOUT DANA-FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE
---
Dana-Farber is a world-class cancer treatment and research organization based in the heart of Boston - only about a 20-minute bikeride from my home in Cambridge. It's incredible for so many reasons, but here are 5 facts that really stuck out to me:
Fact 1: Dana-Farber and its subsidiaries serve over 150,000 adult and pediatric patients across over 500,000 patient visits per year.
Fact 2: Dana-Farber was started as Children's Cancer Research Foundation upon its founding in 1947, but then expanded to patients of all ages in 1969.
Fact 3: The institute is responsible for over 1,000 active clinical trials, offering patients access to the latest treatments and contributing advancements in cancer research.
Fact 4: Dana-Farber employs more than 4,800 full-time and part-time workers and more than 500 faculty who hold equivalent academic positions at Harvard University.
Fact 5: Its programs in aplastic anemia and multiple myeloma are considered the best in the world, according to Expertscape.
For many patients, Dana-Farber is the primary guiding light and beacon of hope in the fight against cancer. It's an incredible place, and funding is always needed to support its world-class treatment and groundbreaking research. I hope you'll consider donating!

WHERE YOUR DONATION GOES
---
The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) is the largest charity bikeride event in the world! It raised $72M for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2023 and, hopefully after this year's event, will exceed $1B since its founding in 1980.
But we need your help to get there! Your donation means that patients, families and loved ones can continue to receive the utmost care and the most cutting-edge therapies available to help them overcome disease and associated complications. 100% of proceeds from the PMC go straight to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, who routinely publish the impact of funds raised on their programs (like this one from last year's ride!).
Here is a breakdown of the top 5 programs receiving funding in 2023 from funds raised by the PMC:

WHAT IS TEAM DAISY?
---
Team Daisy is named after Daisy Locke, who has been fighting cancer from a very young age. She is the daughter of the late Barbara and Pete Locke, who created Team Daisy in 1997 with the support of their close friend, the late Joe Trustey. Since its inception, Team Daisy has raised over $4.6M for Dana Farber in support of its fight to help Daisy and others afflicted with cancer. You can read more about Team Daisy here!

THANK YOU & A HINT...
---
I hope you'll join me and Team Daisy as we support Dana-Farber in its mission to eradicate cancer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for anything you'd be willing to give, and thank you for caring.
Love always wins,
Chase
P.S. This year's ride will be special for all the reasons above, but also for a reason related to the answer to this question: What Broadway musical about the '60s counterculture was adapted into a less successful movie in 1979?
