In August 2022 I lost one of my oldest and closest friends, Mario Travers, to pancreatic cancer. I met Mario while we were in the 5th grade and practically grew up at his house as an adopted member of his family. There literally isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. From the moment he was diagnosed, he battled ferociously. In his memory and to honor his fighting spirit, I'm once again riding in the Pan Mass Challenge to raise awareness and money for cancer research. This years' journey will be a 2-day, 186 mile ride starting in Sturbridge, MA and ending on the tip of Cape Cod in Provincetown, MA. All proceeds benefit Dana Farber Cancer Research Institute (tax ID / EIN 04-2746912). Last year, in total, the Pan Mass Challenge raised about $72M in the batlle against cancer.
