When our family’s life was turned upside down by my son’s diagnosis the people at The Jimmy Fund Clinic helped us right the ship. The support for Will and the #StrongWILLed movement grew beyond anything that I imagined to include a non profit which raises money for pediatric cancer called #StrongWILLed Sports. This ride is one of our many ways to pay forward the kindness and generosity shown to our family. Will is a champion in every sense of the word and has been cancer free since for about 4 years now! The #StrongWILLed movement grew to become Team Wilms Bros, three families with boys all battling the same form of cancer and most of us still ride together to this day!
My goal this year will once again be to help every member of Team Wilms Bros reach their fundraising goals through our fundraising campaigns. I ride in honor of Will, Joey, Winston, Madie, Mary, John, Jimmy, and all of those still in the fight! I ride in memory of Gordon, Russell, Mike, Kyla, Evan, and all of those taken from us too soon because of this terrible disease.
