Why I Ride ...
July 2015: A big thank you to everyone who has supported me in previous years, and to those that are doing so again this year.
Like last year, I'm pleased to be raising funds for the Erica Kate Leafquist Research Fund this year, to target finding a cure for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (A.L.L.) Erica Leafquist, daughter of Team Dassault member Eric, sadly lost her nine-year battle with A.L.L. in December of 2013, at the age of 14. Erica was very much a rallying point for the growth of Team SolidWorks (now Team Dassault), and inspired many armchair athletes to get into the saddle and participate in the PMC and other fundraising events. Relapsed A.L.L. is responsible for more deaths than all other paediatric cancers combined. The funds will be made directly available to Erica’s lead physician, Dr. Lewis Silverman, and his research team, who are striving to identify drugs and therapies that will improve the outcomes for relapsed A.L.L.
