Dear Friends and Family,
This year will be my seventh year riding the Pan Mass Challenge. Since last PMC, I have continued my research in Ben Ebert’s laboratory at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, studying blood clotting and bleeding disorders in cancer patients. I received a career-changing grant from the Damon Runyon Cancer Foundation and Mark Foundation that allows me to continue this research and move to the next step in my training, becoming an attending in Hematology. I am honored to have received this award and get to work as a cancer scientist, a dream I have held since I was a child.
Each year, I dedicate my ride to individuals who have battled cancer. I ride for my grandfathers, Zaida and Pap Pap, and for my grandmother, who I never got to meet. I ride for loved ones and friends: Maddie, Jonathan, Mike, Carol, Mary, Danny, Billy, and many more. I dedicate my PMC to my patients and their families. Every day, I think of these individuals while I am conducting research to work to improve outcomes in our patients. And every PMC, I push myself to the limit in their honor.
I am excited to ride the PMC for the seventh year and help to further the field of cancer research forward.
100% of every dollar donated supports Dana-Farber’s world-class research and care.
Thank you so much in advance for your contributions and support, this year and every year. We could not do it without you.
Closer by the mile,
Becky Zon
