Hello Family & Friends,
This August 2-3, I'll be climbing onto my bike for something much bigger than a 168-mile ride from Wellesley, Mass to Provincetown, Mass. I'll be pedaling in memory of the people I've loved and lost, and in hope for those still fighting.
Why This Ride Matters to Me
Cancer has touched my family in ways that have changed me forever. In 2023, I lost my mother, Marica Jean, to lung cancer. Last year, we said goodbye to my sister-in-law Jenny, who fought glioblastoma after already surviving ovarian cancer with treatment from Dana Farber. And I ride for my niece Sarah, a cancer survivor who reminds me every day why we can't stop fighting. I want to keep her in that survivor category.
These aren't just statistics to me – they're the faces that will be with me every mile of this two-day Pan-Mass Challenge.
The Ride & The Team
I'm proud to be riding with the PopSciCycles Team! We ride for the McGraw/Patterson Division of Population Sciences because their research and program work impact so many critical areas in our never-ending battle with cancer -- from detection and prevention of many types of cancer to care practices and delivery models to methods to communicate important discoveries to diverse, at-risk populations. Together, we'll tackle 168 miles over two days, but more importantly, we'll be part of something that directly funds cancer research and patient care.
How You Can Help
I've committed to raising a minimum of $6,000, but I'm shooting for $10,000 because I know how much this community cares. Every dollar goes directly to cancer research and treatment programs that give families like mine hope.
Your support – whether it's $25 or $250 – makes a real difference.

Thank You
I'm not asking you to donate because you have to – I'm asking because I know you understand that when we come together, we can create something powerful. Whether you've been touched by cancer yourself or you simply believe in the fight, you're part of this journey with me.
Thank you for considering a donation, and for being the kind of person who shows up when it matters. Be sure to review the gallery pictures.
With gratitude and determination,
Brian
P.S. If you can't donate right now, sharing this with others who might be able to help means the world to me too.
P.S.S Thank you again to everyone who donated to my Aids/Lifecycle challenge!!!
