I'm a supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. Cancer has a profound impact on society, both in the US and abroad. It has also impacted most of us on a quite personal level. In the US, according to the National Cancer Institute, > 40% of people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. Great strides have been achieved in reducing mortality among cancer patients since the 90's, largely due to fundraising efforts such as this. Unfortunately, however, it still one of the leading causes of death throughout the world.

Given the scope and broadth of potential impact, I could not think of a better cause to give my time to, and ask for your support on. Last year, 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
