The Pan-Mass Challenge is a two-day, 190-mile bike ride across Massachusetts that raises money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Every single dollar riders raise goes directly toward cancer research and care.
The ride happens the first weekend of August—just a few days after the anniversary of Grandpa Lance’s (mom’s dad) passing. While he didn’t pass from cancer, he was treated at Dana-Farber, and the care he received there meant a lot to all of us. I ride to honor him, to say thank you, and to support others still fighting.
This ride is also a moment to remember Grandpa Larry and Grandma Tilly (dad’s parents). It’s become a small tradition for Max, Dad, and me—one we’ll always remember.
