Why I Ride ..Because I Can.
Dear Friends and Family,
On Aug. 2nd and 3rd, I will ride my 19th Pan Mass Challenge. I am looking forward to tackling the original 192 mile route again - starting in Sturbridge, MA and ending at the Provincetown Inn on the tip of Cape Cod. This is the last year for the Sturbridge start so there is a nostalgic component to this year's ride as well. Last year, the PMC donated $75 million to support research and care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. We also surpassed the $1 Billion level donated since that first ride in 1980, which is just amazing. This year I am confident that we will surpass last year's donation and I look forward to being a part of this campaign.
I will join about 6,800 riders and over 3,000 volunteers in this 2025 campaign against cancer. Although the minimum fundraising commitment for my specific route is $6,000, I have set a goal for myself to become an 9 time Heavy Hitter and a 4 time Heavy Hitter Top 10% by raising over $17,000.
Although we have made huge strides in battling cancer, we still have a long road ahead to find the cure for this terrible disease. So many friends and family members have been forced to face a cancer diagnosis and the arduous treatment that followed. I am grateful to be able to contribute to this fight against cancer by doing something that I love – riding my bike. I hope that you will be able to help me reach my goal by making a contribution toward my ride. Every donation helps the cause. We can make a difference – TOGETHER.
Thanks for your support,
Bonnie
