Just last week, in the span of TWO HOURS, I learned of TWO people close to me with blood borne cancers...
Why is it that EVERY year someone close to me develps cancer?... I don't know but I DO KNOW it is why I ride in the Pan Mass Challenge each year. It's for them, it's for you and your loved ones.
Cancer doesn't care how old you are and it shows no mercy, no favoritism and no bias. Cancer attacks where it wants, when it wants and its effects are devastating to everyone it touches.
Each year I am sadly reminded by family and close friends how important this fight is. I, like many of you, have lost family and loved ones to cancer and have even more who battle for their lives as I type this. For their memory and their sake, please help me help them.
I am asking for your help and support of my riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge (200 miles over two days) and my efforts to put 100% of your donation to good use at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund. Someday your support will help you, a loved one, a neighbor or a complete stranger. Your support and my riding is a way for both of us to work together to pay it forward and pray that cancer will be cured in our lifetimes.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has been the top ranked cancer hospital in New England by U.S. News and World Report for fifteen consecutive years, and is the only cancer center in the country ranked in the top four for BOTH adult and pedicatric cancer programs.
Every year I ride my commitment grows stronger because of the lives I know cancer touches and the amazing work that the dedicated people involved with Dana-Farber and the Pan-Mass Challenge do.
Thank you for your support!
