I am thrilled to once again ride the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) in early August. This important event funds critical cancer research and patient treatments at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. I ride with the Patriots Platelet Pedalers team to support Dr. Ken Anderson’s Multiple Myeloma research and to raise awareness for the need of platelet donations.
Typically, I would be riding with my wife Nava. We recently welcomed a new baby, so this year I'm shouldering our family cycling effort. Later this year, our children Louis and Shoshana will ride the Kids' PMC, cheered on by younger siblings Joey and Hanna.
I ride to be a role model to my four children of compassion and service to others.
I ride to honor associates, friends, and family that are bravely fighting cancer.
I ride in loving memory of dear cousins on both sides of our family and too many others whom we lost to cancer just this past year.
I ride to celebrate the 10-year-old daughter of family friends who has endured a year of chemo treatment and surgeries ... and she is doing great!
I ride to make a difference, having raised more than $153,000 in the 23 years since I began riding the PMC.
I will ride as long as I am able and strive to involve and inspire others.
I ask you to join my family in support by donating at pmc.org/BK0025 or with a check made payable to PMC. Thank you in advance.
With gratitude and appreciation,
Barnet
