There's a Lot Riding on This
Dear Friends & Family,
As you might already know, my family suffered a tragic loss on July 2nd, 1990 when my Mom lost her battle with cancer. It wasn't until four years later (1994) that I decided to officially enlist in the war against cancer and rode in my first ever PMC. This year I will be riding in my 31st consecutive PMC and I will once again be riding in memory of my Mom as I continue to help raise funds for this very important cause. I’ll also once again be riding in memory of my Dad (“Big Daddy” Cain) who also lost his battle with cancer almost seven years ago back on September 18th, 2017. He fought hard, died with dignity and I still miss him every day. So I’ll once again be riding in memory of both my Mom & Dad while I ride as part of the New England Patriots Platelet Pedalers Team where the funds that we raise go directly to Dr. Ken Anderson's Multiple Myeloma Research program at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI).
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading the charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. Of course, I've once again committed to raising money for cancer research by riding in the 2024 PMC. During the first weekend in August, I will join 6,500 cyclists to raise money for research & care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston!
I hope I can count on your support
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, $972 million since 1980 and $72 million last year alone! This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, a cure for cancer. Also, it's because every penny matters and, in turn, 100 percent of your donation goes directly to research & care at the DFCI.
I've made a personal commitment to ride and raise $6,000 this year. So I hope you can help me achieve this significant goal. As always, thank you so much for your generosity!
Every donation brings us closer by the mile.
Thank you,
Brian B-MAN Cain
