Why I Ride ...
Hello Everyone!
First, I would like to thank you all for your generosity and support last year. I couldn’t complete the second day of the ride as I got injured but I was at the finish line to greet my team.
Alex who is now 11 years old continues to battle his high-grade ependymoma gliomas of the spine. Alex has endured multiple surgeries, radiation, immunotherapy, IV Chemo and just recently the cancer spread to his brain for which he has received additional treatments.. As I have shared before, Alex continues to amaze me with his engaging personality, an unyielding amount of energy that radiates to everyone he meets and touches. Just recently he participated in his Boy Scout Derby!
My best friend Peter lost his battle with glioblastoma in September. We celebrated his 66th birthday in September also and it was a momentous moment for me and all those that attended. He is sorely missed every day, and it inspires me to ride this year and continue to to find a cure so that others may live.
I am hopeful that you will be able to join me in considering donating this year as every little bit helps win the battle against cancer.
