Why I Ride ...
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, 100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
A few years ago, cancer took the heart of our family away. Kitty, my wife's grandmother, was the glue that held us all together and we miss her dearly. Our time was cut short. Our day dreams of how we were to spend day trips with the kids were taken away, but in recent years, I'm happy to say that we have had positive outcomes with close family and loved ones. My grandmother has shown us all how strong she truly is, having recently finished treatment, she's doing great! Check her out in my profile picture :)
With my wife working in emergency medicine, she has the unfortunate role of discovering cancer in patients on a regular basis. Although strangers, the brief time she gets to know them makes for heartbreaking stories on a weekly basis.
I'm riding to help contribute to the positive outcomes of your future hurdles and the amazing steps science has made in fighting this disease. I hope that our combined donations and efforts from this wonderful event can directly impact your life and help the people you hold close to your heart.
