Why I Ride ...
It's PMC time! This year will be my 16th consecutive Pan Mass Challenge, the largest athletic fundraiser in the country every year, with the mision to to raise funds for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to Dana-Farber, and it's amazing that this year PMC will surpass $1B raised in it's history.
I am so incredibly grateful for (and motivated by) all the support of so many family, friends, and colleagues over the years. This year, I will ride 180 miles from Wellesley to Provincetown on August 3rd and 4th with Team Beachcomber, which has been around since the beginning and is approaching $2M raised as a team. We will also be riding for our pedal partner Calista Scribner, a 9 year old girl from Winchester currently fighting B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and being treated at Dana Farber. We have so many other loved ones who we have lost or who have been affected by this terrible disease. I will have you all in my mind as I pedal, and your support will power me through.
The PMC riders, amazing volunteers (including Edie, Sam and Emma), organizers, and contributors are working together for the miracle that one day our children and grandchildren may see a world without cancer.
Thank you very much for supporting my ride!
