I'm back and better than ever doing the PMC for the 7th year!
For those who haven't donated in the past or haven't donated for a few years, the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) is a charity bike ride across Massachusetts where every rider-raised dollar is donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. My PMC Team, the Patriot Platelet Pedalers (PPP), donates all of our funds to Dr. Anderson and his work with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer.
This year, I'm riding 80 miles, from Wellesley to Bourne, with my father Rob again.. My fundraising goal is $5,000, and I'm hoping to crush that goal!
Every dollar counts, especially as the PMC rockets towards raising ONE BILLION DOLLARS for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute!
This year is a little different for me. In the past, I've ridden because it is a great opportunity to do what I love, with people I love, for a good cause I admire. However, in August 2023, my good friend and mentor Dr. Patricia Rodden Zimmermann passed away after a fierce fight with metastatic stomach cancer. I am riding in honor of Dr. Zimmermann and will be thinking of her each hill I climb and each straightaway I fly down.
I appreciate your support, whether you've been donating for years or just this once, in any amount large or small.
A very, very, very genuine thank you to everyone as we start this journey towards riding 80 miles and one billion dollars!
