Year 8 and feeling GREAT!
This year, I'm doing the 50 mile Wellesley to Wellesley loop, starting at Babson College, going to Patriot Place, and back again. And again, I'm dragging my dad, Rob True, along for the ride!
For those who haven't donated in the past or haven't donated for a few years, the Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) is a charity bike ride across Massachusetts where every rider-raised dollar is donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. My PMC Team, the Patriot Platelet Pedalers (PPP), donates all of our funds to Dr. Anderson and his work with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer.
In August 2023, my good friend and mentor Dr. Patricia Rodden Zimmermann passed away after a fierce fight with metastatic stomach cancer. I am riding in honor of Dr. Zimmermann and will be thinking of her each hill I climb and each straightaway I fly down. I'll be in Ithaca for the majority of my training, in an area she loved and she taught me to love.
