Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.
My greatest hope is that by donating to the PMC, you and your loved ones will live cancer free and one day this terrible disease will be eradicated. Though we all know that is idealistic, it does give me hope that we are getting better - early diagnosis, better treatment and finding cures!! That said, it breaks my heart to hear of a loved one lost from cancer - know that your loved ones are in my heart as I ride. Their courage during the most difficult battle gives me hope for a better day.
Don't ever lose hope. When the sun goes down, the stars come out.
There are so many amazing stories of remission, clean scans, etc and the Super Stars we all know and love. Thanks to your generous donations that fund research for new and better treatment and cures to happen - you give the gift of hope. The PMC gives hope to all - Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to represent you and your loved ones for my 23rd ride!!
Thank you for funding my ride, and thereby helping the DFCI provide the science and services that care for someone's mother, father, daughter, son, sibling, friend, loved one. By donating to my ride, 100% goes straight to the cause, and eases someone's suffering, puts a smile on a loved one's face, and pays it forward to help save a life!!
I wish you and yours continued good health - and promise to honor your loved ones as I ride.
THANK YOU for your support and most importantly, the hope that you give.
All my best,
Alicia Thoms
