I am so excited to announce my very first ride for the Pan-Mass Challange! For this ride I am fueled by the loss of my favorite Aunt in 2021 to a 15 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. My love for her is endless and I know she will be my angel along for the ride. Riding for her and the many others we have lost to cancer is so important to me because it affects every single family. Treatments are rough on the body and the mind and make it really hard on the individual trying to survive and loved ones surrounding them.
I got back on a bike again during lockdown 2020. I was fortunate enough to live near a beautiful bike path that really sparked my love for being on a bike again. Soon I was taking more risks and road riding. Now I enjoy biking around the North Shore and as close to the ocean as I can get. I ride because it makes me happy and I am able to push myself. I am doing the Saturday August 6th ride from Wellsey to Bourne MA. It is the most I will have biked yet! And I hope next year to do the full two day ride to push myself further!
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
