2025! I am returning to the PMC to continue the push toward eliminating cancer and all that comes with it. This year I have again commited to riding the TWO DAY, 161 MILE ride from Wellesley to Provincetown. I am proud to again be riding with the PATRIOTS PLATELET PEDALERS team to help raise money for Multiple Myeloma, the cancer that took my grandmother's life far too early. I am honored to be able to ride not only for the PMC, but for a team with goals near and dear to my heart to help elimate this plasma cell cancer. Such huge strides have been made with MM research already, and I am happy to do my part to push it even further. I have pledged to raise a minimum of $6,000, and I thank everyone in advance for their donations! I am proud to support Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund, and I hope my efforts are able to provide funding to help with research, treatment, and prevention of this disease. Everyone knows someone who has been impacted by cancer in some way shape or form, and it is through events like this where money can be raised to help make a difference and stop this terrible disease. I am riding in memory of my grandfather Harold, my grandmother Harriet, my uncle Mike, and my brother in law's late mother, Andrea, all of whom were taken from us way too soon by this horrible disease. I am also riding in honor of friends fighting for their lives, and battling to beat this life changing disease.
This is my 6th year riding, and to date, I have raised over $26,980 for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund. My team raised over $1.5 million last year, and we hope to break that number again this year.
The PMC as a whole raised over $72,000,000, last year alone, and likely because of events like this, the rate of cancer deaths between 2016-2017 decreased by about 2.2%. It’s a slow change, but we are making a difference.
BUT, this year is SPECIAL; Total Donations since the inception of the ride are set to break ONE BILLION dollars! $1,000,000,000 donated to Cancer treatment and research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. Pretty incredible.
If you or someone you know has had cancer, fought cancer, beat cancer, or lost the fight to cancer, please consider helping out by making a donation to my page for this incredible cause.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, as always 100% of rider-raised revenue goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
Thank you to everyone in advance, and let’s ride!
