In short: I love helping others and I love biking.
I have been intrigued by biking since early childhood. I biked 20 miles for the first time when I was in second grade, and since then I have continued biking for even greater distances. I want to use my love for biking to contribute to a greater cause. Like many others, I have also lost a family member to cancer. This is my third year doing the PMC.
The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) is a bike-a-thon that today raises more money for charity than any other athletic fundraising event in the US. Since 2007, 100% of rider-raised revenue has gone directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. Many people have survived cancer because of their research, and I would like that number to increase. For more information go to pmc.org.
