It's been 11 years...
It's been 11 years....
It has been eleven years since the great loss of my son Evan, an amazingly sweet, funny and energetic little man. Evan was diagnosed with DIPG - a rare, inoperable pediatric brain tumor, in November 2011 and passed away exactly a year later at 11 years old.Evan took part in a clinical trial at Dana-Farber and was cared for by the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff of the Jimmy-Fund Clinic. Although this treatment was not successful for him, we continue to hope that future patients will benefit from his participation.
We continue to support DIPG research by participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge. We are restricting our PMC fundraising to support the Evan T. Mandeville DIPG Research Fund at Dana-Farber; a fund set up in Evan's memory. Through your generosity, we have been able to contribute over 1.4 million dollars towards research.
Your support helps researchers continue their work towards a cure and provide hope for families in the future. Thank-you for any donation you can make. Please ask your employer if they have a matching gift program, it could double your gift and bring us closer to our goal and closer to a cure.
If you'd like to join us for some fundraising events check out our Evan's Crew website and our Facebook Page.
