Thank you to everyone who has made this event possible over my lifetime – to those who write checks of any amount, to those who carry the bags, make the sandwiches, fix the bikes, offer medical care along the route, and the many family and friends who make this event so amazing each year – thank you.

This ride has always been about family, fun, and the cause that I was brought up to believe in. The PMC has been part of my life since I was 6 years old, when my sisters and I handed out water and collected donations in the center of my hometown (a major PMC training route). As a kid I cheered on the riders from the sidelines, and aspired to one day be able to undertake this journey myself. This year, 2024, I will be making my 16th trip to Provincetown!

Despite having grown up around this event, it wasn’t until more recently that I have come to fully appreciate the magnitude of what we are fighting. After 28 years of riding the PMC, my dad died of a glioblastoma in 2017. Unfortunately he doesn't ride much any more, but is still with us each August. In 2020, my mom became living proof that what we do matters. I am proud to carry on the tradition, as this disease is everyone’s fight. Individually we are riders, sponsors, volunteers, but together we are the world’s largest force against cancer.
