Why I Ride ...

Dear family and friends,

Please join me once again in the fight against cancer as I embark upon my third year riding the Pan Mass Challenge! This amazing event is fast approaching on the weekend of August 6. Mile by mile our participation in events like the PMC get us closer to finding a cure to this horrific disease. I cannot even begin to tell you what an amazing event this is from the people you meet along the way, the volunteers that support us, all of the families who have helped and been helped by Dana Farber and all of the dedicated riders who support each other all the way to the very end of this touching ride.

I LOVE cycling and this is a way that I can help those who are battling cancer right now, who have beat the disease and for those whose lives have been tragically cut short due to Cancer. We have all been touched by this disease in one way or another and its time to find a cure. I ride with my Dad, Gerry Cote and all of the members of "Team Help" who are all such an inspiration to me. Once again, we need your help and support to find a cure for this vicious disease. No donation is too small and every penny goes to the Dana Farber.
I ride in the memory of my Auntie Pauline, my Dads sister, mother, grandmother, friend and wife of my Uncle Vinny, who lost her battle after 8 courageous years, on November 30, 2009. I miss you Auntie Pauline and I am honored to ride in your memory.
I am also riding for you Nicolas, our "Pedal Partner" who is currently battling cancer. Nicolas is a very brave boy who continues to amaze us with his strength and courage. I am honored to ride for you Nicolas.
