Why I Ride ...
I started this journey of raising money for Dana-Farber by commiting to riding the PMC last year after my wife was diagnosed with cancer. Fortunately, her prognosis is still good and she is doing well. All of which is a direct result of the care she received at Dana-Farber. But because she is doing well doesn't mean it is time to stop. I will continue to ride in honor of her and my family and friends affected by cancer, and in memory of those that I have lost to cancer.
I will be riding 162 miles again this year, Wellesley to Provincetown, over two days. Unlike last year, I know what I'm getting into now. While I've spent more time on a road bike since then, I'm still not always sure I know what I'm doing. Last year someone drafted off of me for about 10 miles, and it took me 3-4 of those miles to figure out why they were riding right on my back wheel. So obviously I went to YouTube to learn more about drafting, but there's more to learn as I train to get ready.
Please join me in supporting Dana-Farber by supporting my PMC ride however you can, every dollar counts. 100% of every dollar I raise goes to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These donations support their mission of equitable care and advancement of cancer treatment and care so others can receive the care that my wife did.
