Why I Ride the PMC:
This will be my fourth year participating in the Pan Mass Challenge together with my niece, Emily, and together with a 40 member cycling team called Team Courage Coneheads. I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading the charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of the $64M rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
Introducing me to the sport of road cycling when I was just a kid, my brother Mike and I were the best cycling buddies that anyone could hope for. We had the good fortune that only two brothers with a mutual passion for cycling can share. Our adventures brought us both to enjoy the quieter roads less traveled and several mountain-top finishes including Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. Mike had a firm belief that cycling could heal anything. He was right most of the time. But with cancer, more support was needed.
For this reason, Emily and I ride the PMC. It is the single largest cancer fundraising event in the World and 100% of rider-raised funds go to the Dana Farber Cancer Research center in Boston. On August 6 and 7, Emily and I along with team Coneheads, will ride nearly 200 miles across MA, from Sturbridge to Provincetown, and raise over $250K to save lives and hopefully get us all closer to finding a cure for those struggling with cancer.
Cancer touches the lives of everyone. Please consider joining me in this special event by donating to this wonderful organization that says the lives of cancer patients everywhere. Someday it may help to save the life of someone you love.
Every dollar you donate matters. Thank you for your support!
Andy
