Why I Ride ...
How could I not come back?
2024 was truly difficult. After losing my last grandparent, my Papoo, to cancer and then having my 16 year old niece, Tessa, diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer, it put a lot of things into perspective. It makes sense to dust off my shoes, purchase a new bike, and hit the road one last time out of Sturbridge.
Tessa has since received her treatment and is on the road to recovery. She has shown myself and my family what a strong, courageous and resilient young woman that she is. I am honored and blessed to be her godmother and to continue to see her shine. I ride in her honor so that other families have the same access to care, treatment and compassion from the multitude of doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals.
Together we will be the force of change. We WILL beat cancer.
